Authorities probe into expansion work of Princess Margaret Hospital

The Police and the Hospital Authority are continuing their probe into the expansion project at Princess Margaret Hospital, with a subcontractor suspected of submitting forged certificates.
A former partner suspects that Novox Limited did not make payments and thus failed to obtain the required certificates.
Expansion work at the Princess Margaret Hospital's Lai King Tower continued this morning.
The Hospital Authority issued a statement late last night stating that Novox Limited, which is responsible for monitoring the impact of vibrations from the project on hospital operations, was required to provide calibration certificates for relevant instruments.
The certificate listed Guangdong Zhongzhenghang Metrology Testing Co Limited as the issuer.
But the Hospital Authority found no such certificate had been issued upon seeking verification.
