HK Chinese Medicine Hospital begins operation

The Hong Kong Chinese Medicine Hospital began its phased operation today. A flag-raising ceremony was held at the hospital at nearly 8 a.m., attended by Secretary for Health Lo Chung-mau and Director of Health Ronald Lam, among others. The hospital, located in Pak Shing Kok in Tseung Kwan O, will offer outpatient and day-inpatient services in its first year. The hospital including six departments: Internal Medicine, Surgery, Gynecology, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, and Acupuncture. It will also include 12 specialized programs, such as geriatric degenerative diseases and post-stroke rehabilitation. The outpatient fee is $180, and the day-inpatient service is divided into morning and afternoon sessions, each lasting four hours, with a first-year fee of $450. Nursing services range from HK$200 to HK$800.
