Wang holds talks with German foreign minister Johann Wadephul

Foreign Minister Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with his German counterpart Johann Wadephul on Monday with calls for resisting Taiwan Independent forces.
Wadephul stated that Germany is unwavering in committing to the one-China principle.
A range of major international and regional issues were discussed during the talks as Wang elaborated on the political significance of the one-China principle in their ties.
He said, unlike Germany, Japan has not yet conducted a thorough reflection on its history of aggression in the Second World War.
Wang also expressed the hope that Berlin would view Beijing with a more objective and rational standpoint.
He urged it to encourage the European Union to return to a pragmatic China policy and avoid politicising economic issues or securitising normal cooperation.
Wadephul told Wang that both countries need to shoulder special responsibilities and can become reliable partners.
