Government distributes emergency funds to fire victims

The government said that as of Friday, emergency funds consisting of 10,000 dollars had been distributed to 1,930 households in Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po. And the government's relief fund has accumulated 3 billion dollars.
Speaking on a radio programme, Secretary for Home Affairs and Youth Affairs Alice Mak said 2.7 billion dollars in donations have been received.
Combined with the 300 million dollars contributed by the government, the fund now totals 3 billion dollars, which will be used to provide long-term assistance to disaster victims.
