A look at the final supermoon of 2025 that illuminates night sky

The final supermoon to close out 2025 graced the night skies in China from Thursday evening through to early Friday.
The large bright moon could be seen clearly at the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests in Beijing's Temple of Heaven on Thursday night.
An expert from the Beijing Planetarium says the supermoon was at its roundest at about 7 a.m. on Friday.
The astronomical event appears when a full moon is closest to earth.
