HK Airport expects 1200 flights daily during Christmas & New Year

The end of this month will be the Christmas and New Year long holiday, and the Airport Authority expects a peak of approximately 1,200 flights taking off and landing daily. 

The Airport Authority anticipates that the peak period for departing flights will be from December 24th to 26th, while the peak period for arriving flights will be from January 1st to 4th, with a peak of approximately 1,200 flights taking off and landing daily.

The Airport Authority said during this year's Easter holiday, there was a peak of 200,000 passengers per day, and the Authority believes that passenger flow during the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays will be similar.

Meanwhile, the Airport Authority is holding recruitment events for two consecutive days, offering over 1,500 job vacancies to meet manpower needs.

The airport currently employs 70,000 people, and the demand for manpower is expected to increase further with the increase in flight volume and future airport development.
