Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Russia's Shoigu hold strategic security consultation

Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Secretary of Russia's Security Council Sergei Shoigu for the two countries' annual strategic security consultation.
This is the 20th round of such consultations.
The talks reportedly touched on current matters of international and regional security, the situation in the Asia-Pacific, military and military-tech cooperation, and interaction between the law enforcement agencies and special services.
Wang also met his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov in Moscow.
In an interview, Shoigu said Moscow and Beijing have reached an unprecedented level of cooperation.
Russian President Vladimir Putin yesterday signed an executive order that offers a temporary visa waiver to Chinese nationals for up to 30 days for tourism or work.
The measure is effective through September 14th, 2026.
