Tens of thousands of supporters of Spain's right-wing Popular Party rallied on Sunday with the group's leader calling on current Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez to resign. Hundreds rallied in Madrid's Templo de Debod Square after Sanchez's former transport minister, Jose Luis Abalos was remanded in custody Thursday. This as investigations continue into an alleged corruption scandal that has tainted the image of the Spanish government in recent weeks. Alberto Nunez Feijoo, leader of the Popular Party, accused the government of political corruption, economic corruption, and institutional corruption. He urged Sanchez to step down and called for a general election.
