Roadside memorial for Tai Po victims

Tai Po’s Wang Fuk Court five-alarm fire latest: relatives of the deceased held a roadside memorial this afternoon.
A Taoist incense-offering ritual was conducted at Kwong Fuk Estate, on the basketball court in front of Kwong Lai House. Incense, candles, and offerings were placed on the table. The rite was performed in the Taoist tradition to help the deceased’s souls transition.

This five-alarm fire has so far caused 146 deaths, and contact has not yet been made with a little over 40 people. Police say they do not rule out that the death toll may continue to rise.
