Free govt facilities on Legco election weekend to enourage residents to vote

The government announced a series of promotional offers on Legislative Council election day and the day before to encourage residents to stay in Hong Kong and vote.

Similar to the last District Council election, voters will receive a thank-you card after casting their ballots. This year's thank-you card was designed using artificial intelligence and features the election mascot on the cover.

Chief Secretary for Administration Eric Chan said that, in order to raise civic awareness, on the weekend of election day, December 6 and 7, Wetland Park, public swimming pools, the Science Museum and some other public facilities  will be open to the public free of charge. 

A series of activities will also be held, including a grand performance at the West Kowloon Cultural District on December 6.

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department will hold the "Election Fun" event, and several disciplined services will also be open to the public.
