33-year-old woman found dead inside Mong Kok unit -- police arrested 49-year-old man

A 33-year-old woman was found deceased inside an apartment unit in Mong Kok.
The police subsequently arrested a 49-year-old man on suspicion of possessing equipment for drug consumption and operating a gambling den.
The police deployed drug canines to assist with the investigation, having seized a portion of the evidence at the scene.
The incident took place on Tung Choi Street in Mong Kok.
The police said they received a report from a friend of the deceased at around 3 p.m., suspecting that the 33-year-old was unconscious in her apartment.
Officers found her inside one of the residence's rooms and confirmed her death on site.
Her cause of death has yet to be determined.
Meanwhile, authorities seized a pipe suspected of being used for methamphetamine consumption and an electronic cigarette.
Further investigation resulted in the arrest of a 49-year-old man.
Sources said he is allegedly the manager of a gambling den while the woman is suspected to have been a frequent patron of the establishment.
