Fire Services Department holds event to share experience in aquatic rescue operations

The four-day International Aquatic Rescue Technical Exchange will be held in Hong Kong starting Tuesday. The event will take place in the city for the first two days before moving to Chaozhou in Guangdong.
The opening ceremony took place at the Fire and Ambulance Services Academy.
Andy Yeung, Director of Fire Services, said that the intense typhoons and severe flooding caused by climate change have increased the importance of emergency missions. Yueng said the exchange can promote "a culture of continuous improvement" among rescue teams in Hong Kong, Macao and the mainland.
