HKFA announces Ashley Westwood departure by "mutual agreement"

The Hong Kong Football Association announced the end of collaboration with head coach Ashley Westwood, upon a mutual agreement.
This after last week's defeat to Singapore in an Asian Cup qualifier saw the city miss out on the tournament.
The HKFA expressed gratitude to the 49-year-old Englishman and vowed to properly handle all follow-up arrangements.
The body said it would initiate an open recruitment process for a new head coach.
In the official announcement posted on the HKFA's facebook page, Westwood was quoted as saying the disappointment of not qualifying for the Asian Cup is something he has to live with, and nobody is hurting more than himself.
