Israeli airstrikes have killed at least 24 people and wounded another 54 including children across the territory, according to health officials in Gaza.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office said the strikes targeted Hamas militants and killed five members of the group.

This is just one of the airstrikes across Gaza Saturday that killed 24 people and injured 54 the latest test of the ceasefire which began on October 10.

This man, displaced from Khan Younis said, "A truce means a complete ceasefire, they on one side and we on the other. Then they negotiate the stages we want. But it can't be like this, with them attacking and us attacking. That's unacceptable. This isn't life. We can't live like this, and neither can they. Therefore everyone must abide by it."

One of Saturday's strikes targeted a vehicle that killed 11 Palestinians and wounded 20 in the Rimal neighbourhood of Gaza City.

The strikes came as international momentum was building in Gaza with the UN Security Council on Monday approving the US blueprint to secure and govern the territory.

It authorises an international stabilisation force to provide security, approves a transitional authority to be overseen by President Donald Trump and envisions a possible future path to an independent Palestinian state.

Israel has previously carried out similar waves of strikes after reported attacks on its forces during the ceasefire.
