CE stresses national security education in government's Fight Crime Conference

The government held its Fight Crime Conference with the theme this year being national security education.
Chief Executive John Lee noted the current situation for safeguarding national security remains complicated.
Speaking at the bi-annual conference, the CE said the promotion of national security is a suitable theme for the event as this year marks the fifth anniversary of the announcement of the implementation of the national security law.
Fight Crime Committee Chairman Eric Chan said there has been significant progress in national security awareness among the community, adding that this year's conference will also tackle issues such as drugs and scams.
