The Russian embassy in London says the Kremlin has no interests in trying to undermine British security after what it called the UK's "endless accusations."
London says a spy ship, the Yantar, is gathering information on the outskirts of waters north of Scotland and it directed lasers at RAF aircraft monitoring the ship's movements
British Foreign Secretary YVETTE COOPER: "We have been clear to (Russian President Vladimir) Putin. We see this activity. We know what he is doing. We are going further with at new pressure on Russia, and the UK is announcing new sanctions against Russia's cyber criminals, targeting those who seek to undermine our security through ransomware and phishing attacks."
