Emirates cargo plane crash possibly involved accelerating engine upon landing

An investigation into the fatal Emirates cargo plane crash last month found that one of the aircraft's engines accelerated upon touching down, according to a preliminary report.
The Aircraft Accident Investigation Authority said the weather conditions at the time of the incident did not have an adverse effect on the plane's navigation and telecommunications systems.
It was found that while the thrust levers of three of the aircraft's engines were closed, the fourth engine's thrust lever was in the full forward thrust position.
This as the Transport and Logistics Bureau noted investigating parties will focus on this detail from this point onwards.
