Hong Kong's Ceci Lee has won her third gold at the omnium event in the Hong Kong Velodrome, making history by becoming the first Hongkonger to win three golds in the National Games.

Dressed in the city's iconic blue attire, Lee represented the city in today's omnium event.

In an intense multi-race event that contains a total of 80 laps, participants must complete four events within one day. Lee remained in stellar condition after her earlier events.

While the organisers' cameras initially focused on Heilongjiang's representative after the first round, it was later confirmed that Lee was in the lead.

She secured 40 points with that position.

The second event resulted in Hong Kong placing third, with Tianjin and Liaoning catching up. But Lee was still four points ahead on the scoreboard overall.

In the elimination race, Lee was eliminated for being the third slowest, but maintained a 6-point lead. She eventually won by one point after the last event.

Bagging another gold for the city, Lee said it was an honour for her to step on the podium with her coach once again.

The champion cyclist has won her third gold in this year's National Games, and the eighth gold for Hong Kong.
