At the National Games, Hong Kong's star swimmer Siobhan Haughey powered into the women's 100-metre freestyle final as the top qualifier.
Her family -- also in Shenzhen -- watched from the stands.
Taking on lane 4, she started with the slowest reaction time but she wasted no time making up for it.
After first 50 metres, she'd surged ahead, turning with a 0.25 second lead.
The 28-year-old, who claimed her first National Games gold in the 200-metre freestyle yesterday, continued to command the race.
The Asian record holder touched in 53.46 seconds -- first in her heat and first overall.
