On the eve of the 10th anniversary of the 2015 Paris terrorist attacks, Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo and others gathered at the Place de la Republique to honour the victims.
Since November 8, Parisians have been invited to leave a candle, a flower, or a note at Place de la Republique, a symbolic site of remembrance.
On November 13, 2015, nine Islamic State group gunmen and bombers struck at several locations.
A bloodbath in the Bataclan and other venues killed 130 people, while two survivors who later took their own lives have also been recognised as victims.
