In Turkey, the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has issued arrest warrants for 37 senior Israeli officials, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, accusing them of committing genecide and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel's foreign minister firmly pushed back against the allegations. Turkish prosecutors listed a number of Israeli suspects on charges of genocide related to the country's war efforts in Gaza. They include prime minister Netanyahu, Defence Minister Israel Katz, Border and Security Minister Eyal Zamir, National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, and Naval Forces Commander David Saar Salama. The office cited incidents of systematic violence against civilians, blocking of humanitarian aid and preventing access to medical assistance, which they described as human rights infringement. Netanyahu earlier dismissed claims that Israel has committed genocide in Gaza. In another development, the body of another presumed hostage was brought into Israel through the Red Cross on Friday. Police said the coffin was already transferred to the National Institute of Forensic Medicine in Tel Aviv. If its identity is confirmed, the body would be the 23rd deceased hostage handed over by Hamas after the ceasefire agreement took effect. Gaza health authorities said Israel has so far returned the bodies of 285 Palestinians.
