The Hong Kong SAR government's Task Force on Supporting Mainland Enterprises in Going Global(GoGlobal Task Force) held a promotional event in Shanghai. Chief Executive John Lee welcomed more mainland enterprises to leverage Hong Kong's international platform for overseas expansion.

The event, held in a hotel, was attended by Chief Executive John Lee and Xu Qifang, Deputy Director of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council, among others. More than 400 representatives from mainland and Hong Kong enterprises participated, representing sectors such as innovation and technology, pharmaceuticals, and professional services.

In his address, John Lee mentioned that mainland enterprises going global require substantial financial and professional support, as well as an international business platform to align their products and technologies with international standards. He welcomed more mainland enterprises to conduct business in Hong Kong.

He said Hong Kong boasts world-class professional services, and that its common law system is aligned with major global financial centres, while its tax system is simple and transparent.

Lee added Hong Kong will continue to strengthen its dual role as a "super-connector" and "super-value-added agent," becoming the best platform and partner for mainland enterprises going global.
