President Xi and South Korean leader held talks in APEC leaders' informal meeting

The APEC leaders' informal meeting concluded today stressing interconnectivity, innovation and prosperity as three priorities that all participating parties should jointly pursue.
This as South Korean President Lee Jae-myung earlier held talks with President Xi, during which the former emphasised the importance of Sino-Korean economic ties and noted China's important role in ensuring peace on the Korean Peninsula.
The meeting urged all parties to jointly develop their shared region into the world's most vibrant economic hub, which allows for an environment that facilitates trade and investment.
A special point was made on turning cultural and creative industries into a new engine for growth.
Meanwhile, South Korean President Lee Jae-myung said he will strive for opportunities to dialogue and cooperate with China, while at the same time ensuring peace and stability in Northeast Asia.
