The 32nd APEC Leaders' Informal Meeting opened in Gyeongju, South Korea.
At the venue, Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee shook hands with South Korean President Lee Jae Myung, and the two exchanged greetings.
China's President Xi Jinping received a welcome from Lee Jae Myung, and the two shook hands before entering the main venue together.
Before the meeting officially began, Xi Jinping shook hands with Vietnamese President Luong Cuong.
He also spoke with other national leaders along with John Lee.
The two-day meeting includes a speech by Xi Jinping.
