The China Manned Space Agency also reveals that the two astronauts recruited from Hong Kong and Macao are about to begin enhanced training for future spaceflight missions.

The two Hong Kong and Macao astronauts are now training alongside other space crew members.

The China Manned Space Agency says the pair have swiftly integrated into the astronaut team, with various aspects of their work progressing smoothly.

Zhang Jingbo, spokesperson for the space agency, says they have completed their studies in space-related theory, foundational training in physical fitness, as well as psychology and adaptation to the space environment as scheduled, adding that they are now undertaking specialised spaceflight training.

The duo have also completed more challenging training tasks such as desert survival and launch site emergency evacuation.

Future training will focus on mission-specific tasks to ensure they meet spaceflight requirements.
