China's police chief has video call with Myanmar official on fraud crackdown

In a video call with Myanmar's union minister for home affairs, Tun Tun Naung, Chinese police chief Wang Xiaohong lauded the significant results from their joint crackdown on telecom fraud, while pledging further collaboration to closely monitor new trends in fraud-linked crimes.
Wang has called on the implementation of the leaders' consensus and cooperative efforts to enhance law enforcement and security.
The focus will be on institutional development and capacity building.
To safeguard the well-being of both peoples, Wang expressed Beijing's willingness to eradicate breeding grounds for crime with sustained, efficient joint operations.
For his part, Naung said they attach great importance to China's concerns, and affirmed Myanmar's readiness to intensify the fight against telecom fraud.
