On the heels of the Busan meeting between Xi and Trump, China's Ministry of Commerce unveiled outcomes of the trade talks of Chinese and US delegations in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia last weekend.

They encompass details of various tariff suspensions -- for one year.

The trade consensus made includes the cancellation of the 10-percent "fentanyl tariffs" slapped by the US and the suspension of the 24-percent reciprocal tariffs levied on Chinese goods for an additional year.

That encompasses goods from Hong Kong and Macao.

Beijing, meanwhile, will suspend rare-earth-related export controls implemented on October 9th for one year.

The US will suspend the implementation of measures under its Section 301 investigation targeting China's maritime, logistics and shipbuilding industries for one year.

In response, China will suspend its countermeasures against the US for one year once the US suspension takes effect.

Washington was said to have made positive commitments in areas such as investment while China says it will properly resolve TikTok related issues with the US.

On his social media page, Trump says China has agreed to purchase US fuel and soybean while noting that his meeting with Xi did not touch on the Taiwan issue.
