Hurricane Melissa was the most powerful storm ever to hit Jamaica.

In the aftermath, the horrific scale of the damage is now evident with images showing levelled neighbourhoods and destroyed tourist resorts. 

This as the urgency of the humanitarian crisis is rapidly unfolding.
