5 arrests made in connection with 2019 riots

The police's National Security Department arrested five people under the Safeguarding National Security Ordinance in connection with the 2019 riots.
Two men and three women, aged between 32 and 60, were arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of sedition, aiding and abetting riots, inciting riots, conspiracy to incite riots and perverting the course of justice.
They were also suspected of manufacturing and supplying weapons to frontline demonstrators in various districts during the demonstrations with the intention of causing serious casualties.
One of the arrested -- a 34-year-old men -- allegedly published articles on social media, inciting hatred against the Hong Kong government.
The police adds that about 250,000 dollars in cash was seized with five additional people being detained for investigation.
Police are not ruling out more arrests.
