Premier Li Qiang visits Singapore to shore up bilateral ties

Premier Li Qiang has landed in Singapore for an official visit. It comes as the two nations mark 35 years of their diplomatic ties. Upon his arrival at the airport, Li was greeted by the country's Minister for Digital Development and Information Josephine Teo and Chinese Ambassador to Singapore Cao Zhongming. Later, Li and Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong held a bilateral meeting, where both parties signed and renewed deals to expand cooperation in green development, digital economy and maritime connectivity. Li pledged China will continue to work with Singapore to uphold friendship and contribute to the peace and stability of the region. The premier is slated to attend the three-day ASEAN summit in Malaysia after concluding his Singapore trip.
