Farewell ceremony for Yang Zhenning held at Babaoshan cemetery

A farewell ceremony was held at Beijing's Babaoshan Revolutionary Cemetery this morning for late Nobel laureate Yang Zhenning.
The solemn ceremony was kept private with tight security to mourn the renowned physicist who passed away last week.
A number of groups, including Tsinghua University where Yang studied and taught, sent representatives to pay their final respects.
Yang was born in Anhui Province in 1922. In 1957, he won the Nobel Prize in Physics for the theory "nonconservation of parity in weak interactions" along with his Chinese colleague Tsung-Dao Lee.
