Ocean Park announced its financial results for the year ended June, recording an overall loss of more than 270 million dollars.

Benefiting from a continued rise in overall visitor arrivals to Hong Kong and the giant panda craze, Ocean Park recorded growth in attendance and revenue for the fourth consecutive year.

Total attendance rose 10% year-on-year to 3.46 million.

Total revenue increased 9% year-on-year to 1.288 billion dollars, including 280 million dollars in government subsidies, the operating surplus exceeded 42 million dollars--an improvement of nearly 60 million dollars compared with a loss of over 17 million dollars in the previous year.

As for the Water World, it continued to post an operating loss of nearly 150 million dollars, though this was a 20% reduction from the previous year.

After accounting for depreciation and other writebacks, the group still recorded an overall loss of more than 270 million dollars.
