Police arrested a father suspected of assaulting his young son

A primary school year 2 student is suspected of being assaulted by his father, suffered bruises on his hands. His mother witnessed the incident and called the police.

The incident occurred around 9 p.m. last night. A 7-year-old boy was at home, shouting because he didn't want to sleep.

His father then spanked him three times on the back, grabbed him by the collar, and threw him to the ground, where he hit a toy.

The boy suffered redness, swelling, and bruises on his left forehead, left hand, and right shoulder. His mother witnessed the incident and called the police.

Police arrived at the scene and arrested the boy's father. The boy was subsequently taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatments.
