Tropical depression is formed at seas east of Philippines

The area of low pressure over the seas east of the Philippines has intensified into a tropical depression.
At 10 a.m., the tropical depression was centred about 1130 kilometres east of Manila. It is forecast to move west at about 30 kilometres per hour edging closer to the vicinity of Luzon and intensifying gradually.
An anticyclone aloft is bringing generally fine weather to southern China.
Meanwhile, an easterly airstream is affecting the coast of Guangdong. The weather forecast for today is mainly fine. Hot during the day. Moderate easterly winds, fresh offshore at first.
Winds will strengthen gradually from the north on Sunday. It will be windy and becoming cloudy with a few rain patches in the following couple of days. Temperatures will fall to around 21 degrees.
Flooding may occur over parts of low-lying coastal areas overnight.
