Seasonal influenza activity remains elevated, CHP says

The Centre for Health Protection said the influenza activity continues to rise, saying positive tests over the past week were higher than preceding weeks.
Authorities said that, as of yesterday, 451 outbreaks had been reported in schools since the start of the academic year in September, with more than half of the cases occurring in primary schools.
In light of the increase, the CHP said this season's school outreach activities will generally be completed earlier than last season's.
Fifteen schools will bring forward outreach activities originally scheduled for December or January to before the end of next month.
