Trump steps up threats against Venezuela using CIA

U.S. President Donald Trump has escalated his threats against Venezuela authorising the CIA to conduct covert operations there.

The U.S. military has already carried out strikes on suspected drug cartel boats off the coast of the South American country and Trump is not ruling out military action on Venezuelan soil. NBC has more.
