Nearly 3.3 million visitors came to HK last month

The Hong Kong Tourism Board revealed that nearly 3.3 million visitors visited Hong Kong last month, an 8 percent year-on-year increase.
For the first three quarters of this year, over 36 million visitors arrived the city.
From January to September this year, nearly 36.5 million visitors visited Hong Kong, up 2 percent year-on-year.
Mainland tourists, representing nearly 28 million visitors, accounted for over 70 percent of this total, a 11 percent year-on-year increase. Non-mainland visitors accounted for nearly 8.5 million, a 16 percent year-on-year increase.
Taiwan, Japan, and Australia saw the strongest growth, with short-haul visitors reaching 4.66 million. Long-haul visitors saw the largest increase, increasing by 18 percent year-on-year to 2.41 million.
