Celebratory scenes in Gaza too as hundreds of Palestinian prisoners were returned by Israel.
Thousands thronged Kahn Younis as one thousand seven hundred detained during the two-year conflict arrived in 38 busses.
Emotions ran high as people were hugged and carried away from the vehicles.
Similar scenes played out in the West Bank where two hundred and fifty, who had been given a life sentence by Israel were freed there or sent to exile, some going to Egypt.
