President Xi Jinping delivered a keynote speech at the Global Summit of Women.
The summit aims to promote "global pursuit of gender equality and women's development."
In Xi's speech, he said gender equality has become a consensus across the globe.
He proposed four suggestions, including jointly creating a favourable environment for women's growth, cultivating strong momentum for high-quality development for women's careers, building a governance framework that protects women's rights, and pushing global women's cooperation.
He also revealed plan to donate 10 million U.S. dollars to UN Women over the next five years.
