Hamas confirms all hostages released soon as aid enters Gaza

Hamas says Israeli hostages will be released on Monday as the peace deal in Gaza moves forward.

Hundreds of aid trucks are entering The Strip from Egypt as Israel holds up its side of the bargain.

Donald Trump, who brokered the deal, will attend a summit which will see world leaders try to chart a new course for Gaza and the wider region.

Israel's Defence Force has pulled back from residential areas in Gaza as the peace deal holds.

Still keen to show their tanks and legions of troops "defending Israeli territory" they are currently controlling about half of The Strip.

In the meantime, 200 U.S. soldiers arrive to monitor the fledgling ceasefire.

American forces also there to see aid distributed to Palestinians.

Israel allowing an increase of supplies into Gaza as part of the deal.

That has begun, trucks moving into the enclave from Egypt.

Dozens, at first, with at least four hundred lorries pilled with food, fuel and medicines expected during the next 24 hours.

Later, those same trucks inspected in the Kerem Shalom crossing, screened by Israel, ahead of moving into Gaza where people are desperately in need.

All Israeli hostages are to be released by Hamas on Monday in accordance with the US-brokered deal.

President Trump's plan to get those captives free celebrated at a rally attended by thousands in Israel.

Families and friends, those closest to the story, speaking of anticipation and excitement as Trump's Special Envoy spoke :"To Donald J Trump...."

Steve Witkoff interrupted as the crowd shouted  "Thank you Trump, thank you Trump"having earlier booed the name of Prime Minster Benjamin Netanyahu.

The Special Envoy then allowed to continue h9is thoughts: "To President Donald J. Trump, a man who is a humanitarian through and through, with the indomitable spirit who once again proved that bold leadership and moral clarity can reshape history and change the world."

Witkoff, flanked by Trump's daughter Ivanka Trump and husband Jared Kushner, honoured the families of hostages.

"Each and every one of you have carried the moral weight of this nation your courage has moved the world and has touched me in ways that I have never been touched before in my entire life."

"To the hostages themselves, our brothers and sisters, you are coming home."

This was greeted with cheers from the crowd.

It is a deal cheered not just in Israel but hailed around the world.

An annual peace march on the cobbles of Perugia in Italy celebrated the anticipation of lasting peace in the Middle East

Italian Prime minister Giorgia Meloni will fly to Egypt for Monday's peace summit. 

The leaders of France, Spain and the UK will also attend with many others.

More than twenty world leaders, including Trump, who will first head to Israel, will be in the Red Sea resort of Sharm El-Sheikh where the final touches to preparations for the summit were being put in place.
 
Egypt's government says the conference will strengthen peace, stabilise the Middle East and open a new page for the region.
