At least 75 cases of suspected water seepage were reported at On Pak Court, the city's first subsidised housing built by adopting the Modular Integrated Construction method.

Residents started moving into On Pak Court in July.

However, some noticed signs of water seepage as droplets seeped through the bottom of a wall between kitchen and bathroom.

Paint also peel off the wall.

The flat owner said he had failed to find the source of the water leakage, and could only mop the floor every time he finishes taking a shower.

Looking outside from the building, cracks and gaps can be seen between the pipes and the external wall.

The chairman of Hong Kong Construction Industry Employees General Union said it was unusual to see such a number of complaints, noting that a waterproof test is required after completion.

In response, the Housing Department said the situation may be related to the quality of the modules, adding repair work was completed in 58 cases.
