Three men aged between 23 and 32 were convicted of taking advantage of minors to sell drugs across the border. One of them was sentenced to 30 years' imprisonment.
The police said the incident occurred in July 2017 when a local girl, 15 years old at the time, returned to Hong Kong from the mainland. She was found carrying 20 kilograms of cocaine in her suitcase.
After investigations, it was found that she was lured by three local men to carry drugs between Hong Kong, Macao and the mainland with cash rewards. Two of the three men earlier pleaded guilty to the charges and were sentenced to six years and four months, and 22 years in prison respectively.
One defendant, convicted by the High Court on Friday, was handed a 30-year prison term.
