Israel and Hamas have agreed on the first phase of U.S. President Donald Trump's Middle East peace plan. That paves the way for a pause in the fighting.
Hamas will release all 20 living Israeli hostages in the coming days. Palestinian prisoners will also be released. And the Israeli military will withdraw from a majority of Gaza.
And a federal judge will hear arguments Thursday over Trump's deployment of National Guard troops in Illinois.
