Over 20,000 people applied for govt. jobs Joint Civil Service Recruitment

The Joint Civil Service Recruitment for 2025-26 closed last Friday, marking the third consecutive year of over 20,000 applications.

The Secretary for the Civil Service Ingrid Yeung said on social media that approximately 20,700 applicants were received for this year's Joint Recruitment.

Of these, approximately 13,600 applications were received for Administrative Officer positions, a year-on-year increase of approximately 3 percent, marking the highest number of applications since 2021-22.

For the Executive Officer II positions, approximately 18,300 applications were received, similar to last year.

Yeung expressed encouragement at the total number of applications, reflecting the interest of many recent graduates and others in joining the government.
