Trump announces progress in Middle East peace talks on Gaza

NBC News reports U.S. President Donald Trump has announced tremendous progress in the Middle East peace talks on Gaza.

The U.S. sent special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, the president's son-in-law who has strong ties to the Middle East, for talks with Hamas on the eve of the second anniversary of the Hamas surprise attack on Israel on Oct. 7, 2023, where they killed some 1,200 people, mainly civilians, and took 251 hostages to Gaza.
