Arrests at UK protest for Palestinians

UK police have arrested nearly 200 people as thousands joined a pro-Palestinian demonstration in London which called for the end of the war in Gaza.
The Met squad had asked for the march to be called off as security is increased at synagogues across the nation following the deadly knife attack in Manchester.
But some of those calls were ignored as at least seven hundred demonstrators sat in Trafalgar Square.
Earlier, a group were detained by officers after they tied a huge banner to on one of the UK capital's large bridges.
Some politicians and religious leaders claim pro-Palestinian demonstrations, during the war in Gaza, have played a role in spreading hatred of Jews.
