U.S., North Korea send greetings on PRC's founding anniversary

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has sent a congratulatory message on the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
The message was published on the State Department's website this morning.
Rubio congratulated the Chinese people and extended wishes of health, happiness, prosperity and peace in the year ahead.
State media reported that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un sent a congratulary message to President Xi Jinping on China's national day.
He praised the notable successes achieved by Chinese people in the struggle for the defending of national sovereignty and territorial integrity and the building of a modern socialist state.
Kim vowed closer bilateral ties and joint efforts for regional peace and stability despite global shifts.
