The National Day holidays have brought a lively atmosphere to the mainland. Some hotels in Guangzhou said room rates during this period are about five percent higher than last year, with occupancy rates reaching as high as 90 percent.

The manager also anticipates that the National Games events later in the year will boost the hotel's occupancy.
