Up to 60 dead in Philippines earthquake

An offshore earthquake of magnitude 6.9 has jolted a central Philippine province and collapsed the walls of houses and buildings.
According to the latest from the Civil Defence Office, the death toll has risen to as high as 60.
The earthquake was centred about 17 kilometres northeast of Bogo, a coastal city of about 90,000 people in Cebu province.
