Upgraded facial recognition e-channel service at HK International Airport

The Immigration Department is set to launch a new contactless immigration channel at Hong Kong International Airport tomorrow.  
 
Travellers will no longer have to present physical documents to complete the immigration procedure. 

The new "Face Easy e-Channel" only requires residents to undergo a two-step process of facial recognition.

The entire process only takes around seven seconds.

Residents are also not required to perform any prior registration nor display their identification documents. 

The upgraded service pertains to eligible residents aged 11 or above.
